Mumbai and Zimbabwe
Silent, yet so powerful
Abstract, yet with great depth of feeling
So firm a grip
On a sweep, many weep
Many are let down
Hearts are broken
Ties are broken
Friendships destroyed
But, it is our eternal right
Only to make life balance!
Dreams are shattered
Hopes are drowned
Talents are taken away
Empires are collapsed
Aspirations are clouded
Yet, it is inevitable
Love becomes but a word
Friends become lonely
Couples become single
Lovers become deserted
Yet, no one can run
Its arms are so long
They can’t be cut short
Researchers were caught halfway
Looking for a path around it
Only to become a victim
Oh! Death, how I wish we can do without you!
Dedicated to Mumbai Killings and Zimbabweans Cholera breakout victims.
